As Support Analyst Programmer your initial focus will be to undertake help desk support whilst also working on more project based support role. Supporting several global applications, you will be able to multi task and work within a demanding environment. It would be preferable for candidates to possess some Java development experience so as to undertake minor enhancements*bug fixes although the current focus at present is support. As such, typical responsibilities will include call tracking, responding to user queries and troubleshooting. More specifically this may often require interrogation of databases and therefore candidates should have good SQL and RDBMS experience (Oracle, Sybase or SQL Server) as well as good experience of query*reporting skills such as Business Objects. Candidates should be degree qualified with proven support experience, ideally gained within finance or banking.
